Saint Michael the Archangel - Corn stalks

The artist made this sculpture from a paste made of corn stalks, an art medium used by indigenous cultures. Like papier-mâché, this technique results in sculptures that are not heavy. Here the artist combined the corn paste with lightweight woods.
