Visual Arts Lesson: Bench Symmetrically Designed Jewelry Box |

1.
Draw symmetrical geometric design on paper.

| 2. Select three sheets of construction paper. |

3. Cut the three papers to fit the box lid.
|
|
| 4. Draw the geometric paper pattern on the top sheet of paper. |  |
|
5. Put all three sheets together with the pattern on top. |
|
| 6. Cut out the geometric shapes with x-acto knife. |
 |
|
7.Be sure to cut through all three papers. |
|
| 8.Remove the cut pieces and place them in the top layer of the three papers. |  |
| 9. Glue this sheet of paper with marquetry design on the box lid. |
